As I walk, I cross lands that are, of course, a compromise between nature and man, where man tries to control it and nature is nature, a constant process of growing, moving and reappropriating. I feel like a guest in these lands.
Although I might not consider this Chinese trip as part of my traditional reportage practice, I am greatly grateful for this opportunity to have a glimpse of this immense land, travelling one month between Beijin, Xi'an, Chengdu, Leshan and the mountains of Zhangjiajie.
