09.07.2024 I AM BACK FROM my 1000km of a one month solitary walking/camping on foot experience in Norway, starting from Bergen, drawing a circle.
On the overall experience of walking on foot, I had the opportunity to learn how to balance my days, to slow down, to take breaks and enjoy the long days. I have to admit that I have been very tired some days, harder than I thought, covering more than 40km, going uphill and downhill in the same day, a new experience for me. But I was very surprised to learn how my body can quickly adapt to this new routine, how what was for me unthinkable at the beginning, became my new routine. From 0 to 800+ meters is a long way in only one day, but day by day it becomes double.
I put my body at the center of this practice, simply "I don't let the old man in".
Now my body has the experience of what it takes to walk 1000km, now it needs some rest, so what next?
